Sistership launched its boat Legacy in 2015. For members, the boat was a metaphor for choosing wellness by way of dragon boating after post breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Making that choice, not the diagnosis, is where Sistership members demonstrated their positivity, strong-spiritedness, and determination to live on.

Bequeaths associated with past members made the purchase of the boat possible and contributed to it being named Legacy.

Resilience, our newest boat, was acquired in 2025 from Mission Dragon Boat Inc. in Montreal, and was made possible with donations from Eastport Lions Club and the Buckley Family Trust. Its name conveys strength, perseverance and determination–characteristics that we, as breast cancer survivors, demonstrate throughout our cancer journey and beyond. It represents our ability to face adversity, adapt to challenges, and a desire to move forward together. Every paddle stroke reflects our journey.
